Leap Day!

All day long I have been cracking up at this celebration of an extra day... People are taking it to a crazy extreme! As I browsed through my Facebook today, multiple people were going on and on about how we need to take advantage of this day and really make something of it! Why? Well of course! It's because we are so blessed to have this one extra 24 hours in our year. Now, I don't mean to pop that enthusiastic bubble of gratefulness, but I'm finding it a bit ironic that we are taking time to have those thoughts today, but not every other day. Shouldn't we have that exact same attitude on a daily basis?

I know that this rant probably seems ridiculous, but I think it would be great if all of those who were so super positively peppy on their Facebook status used that same enthusiasm tomorrow when I get to read about their dishes, laundry, kids and anything else that they aren't feeling so lucky for on March 1. :)

On an absolute random side note.... If I was in Disneyland today, you bet I would be staying the whole 24 hours of openness! It would be the party of a lifetime! And yes, I would gratefully mention that on my Facebook status! Ha!
