International Dutch Oven Society... Do you know any members? Well if you're reading this, you do!!

This weekend we headed down to Farmington for the Dutch Oven Convention. Although it was snowing like Christmas Eve when Rudolph came into play, we put on our hoods and embraced the charcoal smell and had a great time! I absolutely LOVE the Convention. There is so much to see and learn! Not to mention the delicious food you get to sample! It's a party!

I have been toying with the idea of joining IDOS for a while. I absolutely love dutch oven cooking and I've been wanting to explore the ways of the black pot a little more in depth. For $30 a year, I can participate in all of the above and let others taste the goods! It's going to be so very fun!

I can't wait until the convention next year... I've rounded up my Dad and Grandpa to help me cook for the sampling masses! I'm thinking if we include the best little assistant in the world (Aka: Kaden) I could come up with some fabulous name that involves 4 generations. Something along the lines of 4G Dutch Oven...That would certainly make people come to our table! Either they would think we were cooking on the speediest network in the nation, or they could see all four of us in our element!

I'm absolutely positive that you'll all be hearing about this soon! I'm sure there will be recipes and sample tastings in the near future :)
