Keeping it Together

Five things that I could NEVER be asked again... and be perfectly fine with :)

1. OH! You're pregnant?! I had NO idea! (I am so beyond the point of just looking chubby. I have a round, sticking out belly that doesn't hide well. Instead of assuming I became best friends with the donut people, just jump straight to baby. It's ok now!)

2. Do you know how far apart your kids are going to be? (Jeez... I had NO clue! For the LOVE! Yes, I am aware that I will have an almost 7 year old and a newborn. I didn't have to get my degree in Math to figure that one out!)

3. Do you know what you're having? (Typically followed by "My Dr. told me what I was having when I was 13 weeks... you should for sure know by now! Here's the thing... This is my second round riding the pregnancy train. I don't know what it is, but I'm not OVERLY stressed about gender. If I don't find out for 3 more weeks, that is perfectly fine. Not one thing is going to change in those 3 weeks anyways... Except for the expansion of my stomach. Which, as previously covered, is NOT added fat :)

4. Why are you going to be a stay-at-home mom? (Um... why wouldn't you stay home if you could?! I have been a working mother since my motherhood began. It's about time I take a moment to stop and smell the Fabreeze as it wafts through my house!)

5. Will Kaden like being a brother? (This one only gets to me because the person asking treated the situation like I was headed out to adopt 19 extra kids. Kaden will be a FABULOUS brother and a HUGE helper. He is very excited a sibling is on its way and enjoys learning about all the child appropriate baby info he can!)

I'm sure I'll look back on this and attribute the entire thing to raging hormones  but for now, I hope to avoid the Fabulous Five for at least the weekend :)

  1. Lol! You crack me up! I know EXACTLY what you are going through! I was asked nearly the same exact questions all of the time and imagine people's reactions when they found out I was pregnant with Conner being 10 years younger than Cody and even my baby boy, Beckham being 5 years younger than Conner! I'm asked all of the time if we did that on purpose. Yup. That's right. We planned on waiting nearly ten years to have another baby and then decided to wait another 4 plus years to have our third (actually he was our happy surprise!) There is one thing that I know... having your kids spaced further apart is easier in a way! Hello! I only have one diaper to change. No fighting between the sibs, only loves! And I have helpers all of the time! Your little guy is going to love being a big brother and he is going to be a great helper. So excited for you :)
