Yes? No? Maybe So?

Lately I have been learning a ton about relationships. For some reason, it's my time to observe and take in what I can. And here's the thing. People are crazy. Seriously... I have witnessed some of the most off-the-wall behavior and it blows my mind!

Obviously I haven't always been in the best relationships. It's just how things have played out. I've learned, grown, and decided how I want my relationship to be. Call it maturity, being 'older', or whatever your heart desires, but I think it has made a difference in the way that I look at my relationship now. I am pretty much the luckiest girl EVER. Seriously. Being with Bryan is so simple and easy. Sometimes I think that it isn't possible to be with someone and get along the way we do. It's mind boggling! But I love it!

Now... This isn't a heart fluttering, tender post. The reality is that no matter what age people are, they still act like like they are in jr. high. Obnoxious right? When going into a relationship, it is assumed that things will work out for the very best. That's only LOGICAL. Hmmm... what a concept!

Recently, two people that I'm very fond of have been going the rounds on their relationship. One second things are great, and literally the next things are over. I'm not so sure how that works. How can you declare your love for someone at 10 a.m., then say you are over less than 12 hours later? It doesn't make sense to me. The heart doesn't just change its mind like that. You have to make a conscious decision that you don't want to be with that person. Now here's my favorite part... after 36 gut wrenching long hours, filled with tears, deep conversation, admitting fault and proclamation to change, it seems as though all is well. Trust has yet to be established, but that can be worked on with time. Right? Wrong.

I can't even keep up with what is going on. One second, things are so great. Happy, laughing, loving each other, showing affection, then the next thing you know, their Facebook status has been changed. **THIS JUST IN** If you want an extremely classy way to show someone that you are done, PLEASE, go change that relationship status as fast as your little fingers let you! OH! And don't forget... Make sure that your profile picture is changed too! Because heaven forbid you are still seen in a picture with the person you haven't decided if you love or not. UGH! Completely exhausting! Since when did Facebook become the ULTIMATE way to communicate how you feel about someone? Dang... it's a sad world!

So my advice to these pending love birds, LAY OFF THE DRAMA! Take some time to think. Like I said during the first round, you need time and space! Make sure you know what you want before you say it. It's not fair to tell someone to fight for you and your relationship, then walk away. Then go through that all over again. It just doesn't work like that. You need to make the decision if you want to be together, or walk away. Let's try our hardest to stop the mind games and for the love of all that is good and holy... leave Facebook out of it!
