As I was getting ready to leave for work Tuesday night, Kaden asked me if I would take him to the park. I bought him a new "big boy" bike Monday night and he was beyond excited to ride it! I didn't have enough time to make it to the park and back, so he dashed in to ask 'Brampa'. Of course my Dad agreed and off they went! I finished getting ready and I thought it would be nice to drive by them and say goodbye... I did just that and off I went. Not 3 minutes later my dad was calling me. He said that Kaden had fallen and it was pretty bad. I turned around and went back as fast as I could. When I got to him I knew something was wrong. Last summer he had fractured the growth plate in his wrist so I assumed this was the same thing. I called and told work I couldn't come and we jumped in the car to head to the ER. About an hour later they told us that he broke the bone in his forearm. It wasn't a complete break, but they would have to sedate him to fix it. I have never felt so helpless as a mother in my entire life! He was laying on the table and was so upset... it was completely awful! The procedure went really well and the bone doctor said that he's right on track to have his cast for about a month. We go in Monday to get a hard cast put on and take some more x-rays.
I'm so glad that I have such a tough child! He was seriously AMAZING!! Through this whole process he has been such a trooper. We've been supported and loved by so many people. We are so lucky to have such a great group of people constantly surrounding us! We love you all!! :)

Still smiling... even with a "ginormica" cast :)
What a trooper! He looks so happy laying there all bandaged up! Tough little guy and tough mommy! Good luck with the healing process!
